The exhibition introduces nearly 100 official documents of the Nguyen Dynasty, which were appended by 140 different seals of various administrative agencies, from the King to princes to central agencies and the army. These are valuable documents archived by the National Archive Centre I.

Coming to the exhibition, which will run until December 31, at the National Archive Center I, 31B Trang Thi Street, Hanoi, visitors can partly understand the administrative system of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty.
Through the change of seals, one can see the change of the administrative system of the Nguyen Dynasty, particularly the later period. Some seals were carved with French words.

From King Gia Long to King Bao Dai, many kinds of seals were used, named Bao, Ty, An, Chuong, Quan Phong, Do Ky, Kiem ky, Tin Ky, Ky, accompanied with different types of documents. However, the number of seals in preservation is a few so researchers have to work with seals appended on old documents.
